Japanese Craft Beer & Whisky Mini-Festival
Interested in Japanese Craft Beer & Whisky and want to find out more about it? The Japanese Craft Beer & Whisky festival is a great place to start.
Not so big that you have to spend ages to find a parking and brave the crowds, security guards and lines (and seriously, who can sample 116 different types of beer anyway).
But big enough that you can sit back with friends and laze the afternoon away going from Weizen to pale ale to stout to IPA etc and/or whiskies from Kirin, Nikka, Suntory and even a few guest appearances from Suntory Roku and the award winning Okayama Craft Gin (silver award winner and winner of best Japanese craft gin in Melbourne International Spirits award 2018).
It kicks off at 12 noon on September 1 and goes through to 5pm. Of course what beer festival would be complete without a great food lineup. Share a virtual cornucopia of foods to match your beers from German sausages (naturally), teriyaki chicken bao buns, loaded fries and other plates, all $10 so they won't break the bank.
Price: $20 for a tasting of 8 different beers, and $30 for 5 whisky or craft gin half shots.
